Special Requests

We’re always happy to help make your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any special requests, please let us know at the time of booking and include them on your booking form.

While we will do our best to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee availability and cannot accept liability if a request cannot be fulfilled.

Communication

All booking confirmations and communications will be sent to the email address provided on the booking form unless otherwise requested.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 7 days or more before the tour date are eligible for a 100% refund.
Cancellations made 2–6 days before the tour date will incur a 10% administration fee.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour date will not be refunded.

All cancellations must be made by the person who completed the booking and communicated by phone or email at least 48 hours before the tour.

Changes or Amendments

We make every effort to ensure the information on our website is accurate and up to date. However, occasional errors may occur, and we reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies before confirming your booking.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to continue a tour after it has started, we will arrange a suitable alternative at no additional cost. If this is not possible, you will be returned to your original departure point and refunded for the unused portion of the tour.

This policy does not apply in cases of force majeure, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, technical issues, civil unrest, or other unforeseen events beyond our control.

Insurance

'Authentic Journey' holds all insurance coverage required under Portuguese law to operate tourism activities safely and legally.

Pickup & Drop-off

Pickup and drop-off are included in the tour price.

Pick-ups are only in Caniço, Funchal and the CR7 Museum.

Currency & Taxes

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include all applicable taxes.

Code of Conduct

By joining one of our tours, you agree to follow the instructions and decisions of your driver or guide throughout the experience.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, we reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.

Acceptance of Risk

All tours are led by experienced professional drivers and guides trained in off-road driving and safety procedures.

By booking a tour, you acknowledge that outdoor and off-road activities involve certain inherent risks, including physical exertion, changing weather conditions, remote locations, and unforeseen circumstances.

Routes, itineraries, and transportation may occasionally change due to weather, road conditions, mechanical issues, local events, or circumstances beyond our control.
